The 2026 Scotland Gathering is now only days away. Those attending will soon be meeting in Scotland for a week of shared history, family connection, travel, tartan, and Society business, including the 2026 AGM.

Attendees should be excited and finalising travel and gathering arrangements for the Edinburgh, Stirling, and wider Scotland itinerary.

Travel and accommodation

The group plans to hire three or four 9-seater vans in Stirling. The cost will be roughly GBP 200 per person, depending on numbers. The vans will give the tour more flexibility on each day.

Hotel rooms are being explored with a target of approximately GBP 150 per night.

Official gathering dates

Thursday 18 June 2026 to Monday 23 June 2026. These are the dates for hiring the 9-seater vans, with radio communication between them. The 2026 AGM will be held during the gathering.

Flexibility and focus

The itinerary can be adjusted if enough people want to visit something along the route. It has been chosen for scenery, Scottish and Jack history, movie scenes, golf, whisky tasting, nature and photographic opportunities.

Expressions of interest

A significant initial outlay will be needed for buses, hotels and meeting rooms, so the Society will require strong commitments of intention to attend. Chief John Jack has asked for expressions of interest with exact numbers in each party.

Kilts and Clan Jack tartan

Jack family kilts will be worn. Anyone wanting Clan Jack Family tartan or a kilt should make contact early, as the tartan has to be woven, the kilt made, and then shipped.
