Jack Family Gathering – Edinburgh, Scotland

Dates: 18 June 2026 – 23 June 2026
(These dates do not include travel to and from Scotland.)

We are all so excited to announce this event. Lifelong memories will be made, stories will be shared, songs will be sung. Let’s raise a glass to traditions old and new.

Travel & Accommodation

We are hiring three or four 9-seater vans in Stirling. The cost will be roughly £200 per person, depending on numbers. The vans will give us more flexibility to change the tour slightly on each day.

Nicci and I are now working on hotel rooms, trying to keep them to approximately £150 per night.

Official Gathering Dates

Thursday 18 June 2026 to Monday 23 June 2026 (please note the extra day). These are the dates we will hire the 9-seater vans, with radio communication between them.

I will make myself available in the week before and the week after these dates to help with itinerary planning or to accompany anyone who wants to extend their visit before or after the official gathering dates (PM me).

If there is enough interest, we can book hotel rooms in Stirling itself for the previous night (17 June). This will make it easier to start on the 18th. We plan to use the same hotel for the last night (23rd).

Flexibility & Focus of the Tour

I am starting to include fixed dates and times for overnight stays. This tour can be adjusted if enough people want to go to or see something along the route.

There are many reasons for why I have chosen this itinerary, including scenery, Scottish and Jack history, movie scenes, golf, whisky tasting, nature and photographic opportunities.

The intention is to hire at least one bus and driver, with Chief John Jack as the tour guide. If there are two or more buses we will organise communication between them.

Expressions of Interest & Commitments

There is going to have to be a significant initial outlay on hiring the bus, booking hotels and meeting rooms. Therefore we will require strong commitments of intention to attend.

Could I please have expressions of interest in attending this event, with exact numbers in your party. Thank you.

Chief John Jack

Kilts & Clan Jack Tartan

Please note: Jack Family kilts will be worn, so remember to pack your kilts.

If you want to get your Clan Jack Family tartan / kilt, please PM Jill Memmot Olson or John Jack to get on the list for orders. Ordering a kilt is a time-sensitive matter, as the tartan has to be woven, the kilt made, and then shipped.
